Stance: Open stance, with a bend in the knees.  Keeps hands high, around his ear; keeps back elbow very high.  Does a small fast bat stir.  Strides into a closed stance.

Approach: Patient hitter who has the ability to use all fields.  Strikes out a lot, typical of power hitters.  Likes the ball in and under his hands where he can turn on it and pull it with power.

Hitting Ability: Has an upper cut for a swing, and has to ensure that he doesn’t let his swing gets loopy.  A much better hitter against righties, really should see limited time when lefties are on the mound.  Pulls his hands in very well.  Capable of hitting .280-.300 if he stays out of the lineup against lefties.  Streaky hitter who can go on tear.

Power: Plus power, capable of hitting 20-30 homeruns a year if he can ever earn regular playing time.  Majority of his power comes against right handed pitchers, as he struggles to not only hit lefties but hit them with power.  Will struggle to reach the 30 homerun mark until he can become more consistent against lefties.

Running: Above average speed for a first baseman, slightly below for an outfielder.  Ultimately is not a threat to steal.  Not a base clogger in any way though, can go first to third and does run hard.  Never going to get more than a few steals in a year.

Fielding:  Solid fielding first baseman, has good range from side to side.  A strong arm for a first baseman.  Very mobile at first, has a solid glove.  Capable of playing both corner outfield positions, but best suited at first base, right field is his stronger of the two outfield spots he can play.

Physical Description: Strong frame with little muscle definition in the upper body.  Very strong lower half with big thighs.  Large shoulders and back. Must keep bad weight off of mid-section.

Projection: A platoon player who cannot be put in the lineup against lefties.  Has plus power, and slightly above average hitting ability against righties, but is unusable against lefties which force teams to tie him to a right-handed hitter.  Capable of being a very good hitter and valuable player if used correctly.
